Diana Criss , Senior Consultant Diana came to HMA from Consumers Mutual Insurance  of Michigan where she has served as the Senior Director of Operations and
Clinical Management for the past three years. In this role, Diana was responsible for the development of the Customer Service, Claims, Quality, and Clinical Operations Departments; submission of the Qualified Health Plans process with CMS, including taking the lead with the Department of Insurance and Financial Services for Michigan approval as the first Michigan Health Insurance Co-Op; leading the NCQA accreditation; and overseeing all audit processes for claims and customer service as well as the Federal
Complaint System (HICS).

Prior to her role with Consumers Mutual, Diana was the Director of Governmental Programs with Priority Health for eight years.  Here Diana was responsible for the direction of the Medicaid and MI-Child program including compliance with all State and Federal contract requirements, MDCH re-bid process, compliance audits, and the financial stability of the program. Diana spent many years working with State Medicaid Program in Michigan to bring community partners together with the Health Plans to ensure as additional services were incorporated into the Health Pan contract, members would have continuity, and continue to receive services from community based service and support agencies.

Additional roles in which Diana has served includes Program Director, Director of Clinical Operations, and Director of Network Development for Community Care Plan Medicaid HMO; Director of Operations and Regulatory Compliance for McLaren Health Plan; Medicaid Project Manager for Priority Health; and Product Manager for Medicare/Medicaid for Care Choices.  Diana received her degree in business from MSU. She has also developed and taught the “Physicians in Medicaid Managed Care” curriculum at Michigan State University and Wayne State University.
